See that number? Not too big right? What if I told you this is the current number of police officer suicides to date in 2019 in the US? Remember this number is fluid, always increasing and these are just the suicides that are reported to organizations such as https://bluehelp.org/ .

127 families are without their loved ones, 127 best friends have left their pack, too many police departments will no longer see their co-worker.

This website has been created by the heartfelt works of myself and my counterpart Rebecca Distefano. The point of this site is to bring awareness to the mental health struggles of law enforcement officers and the stigma it carries with it. We will provide you with information on how and when to get help for yourself, your loved one, your co-worker or your friends in the field.

This passion for helping officers across the country is personal for me. My brother has been a police officer for 20+years and there is not a day that goes by that I don’t worry about him and just pray he makes it home at the end of each shift.

This world is cruel, people are harsh, violent and hateful. We have to step up and support law enforcement and all first responders. They have a job most of us could never do. A thankless, sometimes hopeless job. They need all of us to remind them they are doing GOOD in our communities, they ARE making a DIFFERENCE, they are our protectors and we CAN NOT let them fall.

If you see something, suspect something or have that sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach that an officer you know, or you yourself is in trouble; SAY SOMETHING. Make that call

We love the Blue, support the Blue, respect and honor the Blue. Always.

I am a native Rhode Islander who is a wife, mother, sister, daughter and proud supporter of Blue Lives. My brother has been a police officer for the past 20+years and while he loves his job, the reality of it is, today's world is scary, times have changed and there is a continuous lack of respect for law enforcement. I am passionate about raising awareness on suicide prevention and mental health stigmas for police officers and first responder all over the country. I believe the more people talk about mental health, the less taboo it will be, espeically for the protectors.
